Active Periodicals Major Rip-Off Deerfield Beach Florida

Last Month i got a call from Active Periodicals, a very nice woman told me I had an account with them and that they were having an promotion that would take 15 dollars of our bill a month. Thinking it was my husbands account (he has one with another company which is awesome) She spent 45 min. convincing me it was real. She told me it was being paid by a MasterCard and that the payments would keep being charged there. Also that it was ok because we could always cancel it anytime. Well I finally said ok and that was that. When my husband got home and I told him I realized it was a scam. We don't even have a MasterCard I called back the next day trying to cancel. I was told very nicely that my account had been canceled!

Two week later a very rude woman called demanding the money she said I owed. She rudely told me I was a month behind in my payments. I got so mad and asked her why her company lied to me and demanded to talk to her manager. I was put on hold ( so she could find someone) and promptly hung up on.

Since then I have received a bill for 79.90. for 3 magazines. I have called back numerous times, to either no one answer or have people very rudely tell me I can not cancel.

Yesterday I received a Latina Magazine. I am not Spanish, the closest to being Spanish I ever will be is a lover of Taco Bell. When I called asking why I was sent the magazine from active Periodicals, I was hung up on twice.

I can't believe I got sucked into this
