Adam was contracted to install my hard wood floors... He has since ran off with $2000 dollars. The courts ruled he pay it back and then his number changed. I don't mind going back to prison to make an example of him. We will find you Adam.

He has a son here in NJ that he has NOT seen or talked to in years he is a DEADBEAT excuse after excuse to feel sorry for him ,He owes me over 40,000 and he will deny this but email me and Ill send you all the info you need (((REDACTED))).. I am dealing with a few people that he beat in Texas already .Probation is on his butt then he moves and changes around things only a matter of time before its all over with . I dont want to give out all my info on here because that will let him know how close I really am to getting his a*s !.You can run but you cant hide for ever must be rough living a life like that and if hes not self employmeyed anymore he sure isnt working on the books they already checked that and mind you they check it weekly so how is he paying everyone back Id sure love to know another sweet talking Lie ~

Mark, with your post I feel I should put up an update.

I was in contact with Adam after his email and talked with him on the phone. He appeared to be sincere in wanting to pay it back and we had arranged for him to do so in 3 payments by check.

Needless to say, that was back in October and I never received a single check. The email he posted, you're right, he is not responding to, although it is still active as of last time I checked. Also the number he called me from was a pay phone.

The only thing that I know for sure is still active with him is his Chicago bank account.

I've sent you two emails to the address you provided in your rebuttal.  I also sent to your hotmail account as well.  My messages were Oct 28 and Dec 15.  I can only assume that since you did not reply that your posting to this forum was nothing more than a ruse, to convey to the public that you might actually consider paying restitution to your victims.  I consider your ruse to be an insult to those of us who have been injured by your willful and malicious deeds.  Even the title of your email alias "Pay It Back AC" is a taunt - a public humiliation of your victims.  It has served only to compound my mental anguish, distress, and anxiety.  I am sure I am not alone.

From the very beginning I have tried to keep our communication private, but now it seems this is the only channel that remains open.

I saw April at Lifetime Fitness a few months ago, and she certainly didn't look like she was struggling financially.  I am only asking for a modest refund and I know you can afford it.  You could have at least offered me your F-150 when you put it up for sale back in August.  It looked like a fine truck and I might have been willing to pay market value, minus what you owe me.

It will be much better for you to willingly repay a small sum now than to lose much more when it's taken from you.  If you would research my background as much as I have yours, you would understand why I am not someone you want to mess with.  And please don't bother with any mafia intimidation tactics.  You are all alone!  I know who has my back, do you?

And for the rest of our viewing audience, here are some pictures of what once was.  The license plate from Adam's sold F-150 and a snapshot of Adam's van before it was painted over twice.  I will begin to add more recent and detailed pictures so others will know what to look out for - unless of course I find reason to lose interest.  For those who are impatient and want to see all the pictures right now, please contact the Texas Attorney General's office where the pictures are kept on file.

Thank you for posting up. I actually followed some of your postings when I went searching for Adam after his email address and cell phone became inactive. I had sent you an email a number of days ago that has not be allowed to go through. The mail host keeps refusing my email?

One of the biggest hurdles to taking it to civil court would be needing his address, I may have tracked it down but do not know for sure.

I am still wanting to give him to the end of the week, which is now in two days, if I hear nothing I would like to file jointly next week. It would be great to have a joint file.

I should mention that the website is not YAHOO.COM, but it is EXCITE.COM.  Sorry for any confusion.

I, like many others, have experienced the same thing with Adam Charles.  He has also done business as Home Rehabs and Remodeling.  Even had a very nice van with the name, phone number, motto "we put the R & R back into being a home owner".  His invoices looked professional, even had a beautiful website and a glossy full color business card.  Also had the name printed on his hat.  He tends to operate under a new name for about six months, then he re-brand himself with a new clean business name, address, and stationery.

He was referred to me after he did some drywall projects for an aquantiance of mine.  Adam will always make sure to begin work on your project after he takes the deposit.  He often just won't finish the work.  As long as he does SOME work he can't be prosecuted for theft and it becomes a "civil" matter, which means it's up to you to take him to court and sue him.  After you sue him it will be up to you to figure out how to collect your judgment.  Since he is self-employed and doesn't own real estate it will be difficult, if not impossible, to collect anything from him.  You can thank our legislators for making Texas the most "debtor friendly" state in the Union.  Adam left New Jersey a few years ago, and my understanding is that he wouldn't be able to continue this kind of behavior if he stayed.  In Texas Adam can claim thousands of dollars in "exempt property" that cannot be taken to pay creditors, even judgment creditors who win a lawsuit.  Adam gets to keep is car, his "tools of the trade", and his household goods.

I have a binder filled with all sorts of details that I am willing to share, but www.ripoffreports.com will not allow users to contact each other directly.  If you email Yahoo user "spam_is_evil" then I could try to send you info.  The BBB didn't share any consumer names either, though they have had several complaints on file.  Some other sites, such as(((Redacted))) also have complaints about Adam Charles and I was able to contact one of the victims.  You ought to give it a try.  Posting to as many complaint boards as possible is the only way to raise awareness.  Definitely contact the County DA and Texas Attorney General.  They typically won't care about your individual case, but maybe if they see enough complaints piling up they will do something.

By the way, I found your posting because I have set "Adam Charles" as a search term for Google Alerts.  You should consider doing the same so you don't miss when something new gets posted to the internet.

If you are serious about taking Adam to small claims court then I will join you.  I already have my details organized to present my case.  I would like to see the other victims sue also.  I believe the statute of limitations is two years.  He may not pay his judgments, but he should at least have to explain to judge over and over why he is taking deposits with no intention to complete projects.
