Adam Joseph Simons Faked Cancer to receive money for supposed treatments Wyoming Michigan

I officially met Adam for the first time in person to fix my iPod. He seemed sweet and charming and soon after that encounter we started seeing each other. This was about July/August 2012. I knew that he had an angry ex-girlfriend roommate, Joy Serbanescu, that disapproved of any female presence in the apartment other than herself. She was never mentioned as a sibling but I was told they were previously engaged and he couldn't get her out of the apartment.

We always spent time together out and about or at my place. Rarely in his apartment. While we were seeing each other he always had some baby mama drama, Joy drama or financial problems with his job. One day he came to me stating that he lost his job due to someone he trained was injured. He was without employment for a week before he found another job.

That lasted a short period before he came down with cancer. He told me he's had it for years and it had just come back. He was scared and so was I. I had been loaning him money here and there through Joy's PayPal account. I also made ATM withdrawals for him. I loaned him my car and my ATM card for small transactions that I approved.

The money amounts got larger and larger. I was also strapped for cash so I also used a credit card linked to my mother's account under my name. The money I was loaning was going to medical treatments, car payments or repairs for his leased Buick Lacrosse. I knew he was using drugs to ease the pain. At least pot. He always protested before giving in and insisted that any time I tried to feed him that we go out for fast food instead of me cook from my own kitchen.

Then in November Adam started talking about disappearing because of warrants out for his arrest for back child support and a sexual predator charge from his childhood. The total amount came to a grand total of about $2,500 for the paperwork I was shown.

With my mother's credit card he paid off a fine that was for the Mechanicsburg, PA Courts Fines and Cost for $120.25. The rest I begged my mother in tears for in a cashier's check for $2,352.71 on November 8, 2012.

From time to time he would not respond to my texts or calls. I was worried about him. One day he responded the next morning stating he passed out in a Sheetz from a seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy. I had to be hush hush about any of his medical issues or otherwise his son's mother would take him away from him.

In the end he broke up with me shortly after Thanksgiving. We kept in contact and I continued to loan him money. In January of 2013, he said he was taking a bus to Michigan to be with his family. None of it made sense and that was that.

I never expected the money back because I knew he wouldn't be able to ever pay me back. I called him up a few months later and hung up. He did call back but did not have me in his phone. He had no intention of finding me ever again. Then I came across the reports on here. I was suspicious that something was wrong at the time with all the stories and some things that never matched up but cast it aside.

I never knew that I was outright being lied to. According to reports on this site he was with two other women at the same time that we were together and who knows exactly where that money went. I just hope that he will be arrested soon.
