(Nevada Revised Statute) NRS 598.0915  “Deceptive trade practice” defined.  A person engages in a “deceptive trade practice” if, in the course of his or her business or occupation, he or she:

3 - Knowingly makes a false representation as to affiliation, connection, association with or certification by another person.

15 - Knowingly makes any other false representation in a transaction.

With regard to NRS 598.0915 (3) – Adam Martin – Owner of Active Specialists LLC states on numerous websites that his company Active Specialists LLC received an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau of Southern Nevada.  Truth be told, said Better Business Bureau has told Adam Martin and Active Specialists LLC, several times, to stop claiming to have the A+ rating.

With regard to NRS 598.0915 (15) – On several occasions, Adam Martin – Owner of Active Specialists LLC has told employees/potential employees that if they show up to work, they will get paid.  Truth be told several employees have not been paid anything.  Adam Martin uses this tactic as a ploy to get people to work for free.

NRS 613.010  Influencing, persuading or engaging worker to change from one place to another by false representations; penalty; damages.

1 - It shall be unlawful for any person, persons, company, corporation, society, association or organization of any kind doing business in this state by himself, herself, itself, themselves, his, her, its or their agents or attorneys to induce, influence, persuade or engage workers to change from one place to another in this state, or to bring workers of any class or calling into this state to work in any of the departments of labor in this state, through means of false or deceptive representations, false advertising or false pretenses concerning:  

(b) - The amount and character of the compensation to be paid for such work;

2 - Any person, persons, company, corporation, society, association or organization of any kind doing business in this state, as well as his, her, their or its agents, attorneys, servants or associates, violating any of the provisions of subsection 1 is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.

3 - Any worker of this state or any worker of another state who has been or shall be influenced, induced or persuaded to engage with any person mentioned in subsection 1, or any company, corporation, society or organization mentioned in subsection 1, through or by means of any of the things therein prohibited, shall have a cause of action for recovery and may recover at law for all damages that the worker shall have sustained in consequence of the false or deceptive representations, false advertising or false pretenses used to induce the worker to change his or her place of employment, or place of abode in case such worker shall not be then employed at the time of such inducement and hiring, against any person or persons, corporations, companies or associations directly or indirectly causing such damages. In any action under this section for the recovery of such damages, the court shall have the power to award a reasonable attorney’s fee in favor of the prevailing party, which fee shall be taxed as costs against the losing party therein.

With regard to NRS 613.010(1)(b), Adam Martin – Owner of Active Specialists LLC has told employees that if they come into the office and work, said employees will be paid.  Several employees have yet to be paid for months/weeks of work.  Even when Adam Martin reassures the employees that they will be paid soon, many employees have not been paid in several months.

Additionally, with regard to NRS 613.010(1)(b), Adam Martin – Owner of Active Specialists LLC tells potential employees that they will earn thousands upon thousands of dollars a month, as a way to entice the potential employee to come to work for Active Specialists LLC.  Yet, when these employees sign up, they discover that Adam Martin was lying and that they are not going to get paid.

Additionally even as short as a month ago, Adam Martin – Owner of Active Specialists LLC told a 19 year old young lady that if she comes into the office and does office work (answer phones, types, filing, paper work, etc) she will be paid.  Well, as she found out, she came in 6 days a week, for over a month, and Adam Martin did not pay her, anything.

Even www.ripoffreport.com has a complaint listing against Adam Martin and his former company A & L Call Resource Center LLC.  It must be noted that the only reason why Adam Martin changed the name of A & L Call Resource Center LLC to Active Specialists LLC and moved was because of his common practice to not pay employees.
