They were supposed to move me to a new apartment, from my home, but things, like in life change. I had to spend over 80.00 for a taxi to take me from my home, to a storage unit, back to my home to give them over the key to the unit, then to a hotel, all the while while the meter was running in the taxi. I talkEd to the owner today on the phone and he basically said I lied about things that were left in my home, that cannot be replaced. He said..." You should have stayed" when the movers knew I couldn't. I told them EVERYTHING I wanted out of the home. They packed my vacuum and the owner said, " how do I know you even had one"? It took 3 movers, young, strong men 4 hours to move 3 rooms out, and put it in the storage unit. It took 5 over 60 year old friends, when I finally got an apt. to move into, with 4 trips, an hour and a half, in an old Chevy van to move and place everything in my apt. there are things the movers left there which can never be replaced, sentimental value, that they left. The owner said, " I don't care what you do, because I'm selling the company anyway". Who says that? Anyway, the only compensation they are willing to give is 60 cents a pound, after they ruined my dresser, by shoving everything into the unit.
