I purchased an Interstitial ad with AdBrite on 7-18-2006. I received an email from them on 7-31-06 stating there was a problem with my credit card. When I checked into my ad, I found I had over $200.00 in charges, plus over $150.00 that wouldn't go through on my card.
I immediately called the company and told them that I wanted to cancel because there was no way I was getting all those hits to my website.
I placed my ad on Focus Daddy not even knowing what kind of site it was (sex) because it had the lowest click per view.
I thought everything was taken care of until I checked my bank balance online today (09-16-06) and saw all these charges.
I then went to the AdBrite website and logged into my account and it says I currenty have no ad running. I then checked my manage ads and it says I currently have an ad on Focus Daddy and it is active.
I tried to call AdBrite, but they are only open M-F, so I sent them an email and told them to cancel my ad immediately and I wanted all my money refunded. I also told them I was going to file a fraud report.
According to their ad, the average total clicks for 6 months is 12,412. I have had 42,677 clicks on my website in less than 2 months. I am in a candle business and this is a sex site. Out of 42,677 clicks, I have had no phone calls, no emails, no entries to receive a free candle, no purchases, and no one contacting me about the business. Just $633.53 in charges.
I was told that they pay people to view websites. I have definitely been scammed.

Im not sure how you did set up your account, but I feel that the "sex" site just placed a code on their site. Sex site is paid by the adbrite based on the times the banner was displayed and clicked on...you just double check what the 40000 and some....was. Was it clicks or displays?
It is was sex site then Im sure it was displayed so many times.
I checked ad brite and their TOS is very clear. I have a code placed on my site and so far its beed displayed about 3000 times. I earned $0.52 I wonder if they pay us ok?
