Addleshaw, Bird & Mitchell Ethan JamesJames Hoffman False pretense of winning large amounts of money for fees to collect money 169 Commack Rd. Ste H PMB 503 Commack, New York

 On October 15,2013, I received a letter from Addleshaw, Bird & Mitchell stating that I had been confirmed as the winner of a cash award by A.B.M to win $2,997,500.00. They wanted me to send $20.00 for the release fee.

It was to be sent to A.B.M in East Northport, New York and it was signed by Ethan James. It was to be there before October 23 or I would lose the prize.  I sent $20.00.

On October 28,2013, I received another letter from Addleshaw, Bird& Mitchell stating that I had won a sweepstake in the about of $1, 560,000.00 and they wanted $25.oo for that one.  My husband told me that did not make sense. I sent it anyway. I was to send the money to Addleshaw, Bird & Mitchell at once. to Commack, NY.

On November 1, 2013, I received another letter stating that I had won $3,175,536.00 and they wanted $20.00 for compilation fee.  My husband remarked that they could not remember how much I had won so I did not send money on that one.

On November 15,2013, I received another letter telling me I had won $4,621,915.00 but I had to send $20.00 and return it before December 2 or I would lose my prize. Sent to Amityville, NY to office of JBN.

On November 16,2013, I received 7 letters I didn't even open all of them.  They all basically asked for $20.00 or $25.00. My husband went through each one of them and said they must be a scam. He got a shoe box and put each one of those letters in the shoe box in case there would be a need to produce them at a later date.

It is a terrible shame for people to prey on senior citizens at a time like this.
