  I was being harassed by these people. She (Priscilla Deal) stated "it's on now" and "if I did not go on here and apologize there would be repercussions." I felt that if I apologized all unwanted phone calls would stop. That was not the case. They (Her and her husband) have called my friend and myself several times. They even complained to him that I would not answer their phone calls. You think?? And no I am not on drugs....I take ambien to help me sleep. Please be careful about what you say.

Yes I was very upset that you had taken advantage of my friend. You charged his credit card extra fee's without getting his permission. By the way I believe you can not record someone without their consent. But that's okay because it's mostly your husband rambling on and on about all this so it only makes him look bad. I was being very nice and did not hang up on him like most people would have.

All I can say to other people like before is please go in person to look at the dogs before placing a doposit on one. And also ask what the TOTAL is before you hand money over. She asked for the sales tax AFTER  he gave her $6,000 in cash. Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion. I just wanted to look out for the wellbeing of others and that is not a bad thing.

And I will state again that the pictures of two of the dogs on her website he put a deposit on looked nothing like the dogs in person. Noses appeared to be longer and bodies and legs longer. That is my opinion and his.

Please stop calling me. Please stop calling my friend. Move on Priscilla Deal and "deal" with some of your other complaints from other people.

I was contacted by Gerald Steve Burkhalter of Silver Creek Ga. by phone wanting to purchase some adult female bulldogs that I had for sale.  After several phone conversations he wanted to put a deposit on three females.

The photos were not retouched or altered in any manner.  I do not do things like that. 

When Mr. Burkhalter arrived he had his wife and another lady with him.  During our conversation I learned that the other lady was Karla Lowe of RidgeTop Bulldogs.  I later learned that Karla and Mr. Burkhalter co-own some dogs together and that Karla keeps some of his dogs at her kennel.

I showed the dogs to them. They conversed back and forth between themselves and then approached me.  Mr Burkhalter came to me and stated "how would you feel if I did not take those other three and I just took this one", indicating a totally different female.

I stood there for a moment and said "if that is what you want that is fine".  He said they were longer bodied than what he wanted. 

He had negotiated a discount on the purchase of the three females he initially wanted.  He stated that he would pay full price for the new female since he was only getting one.  

I would like to state here that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dogs that they refused.  They are very fine specimens.  I do not breed Bulldogs that look like a Pugs.  But to each their own.

I went to my office and gathered the new females AKC paperwork, I then went onto the computer and issued a credit in full for his initial deposit through PayPal.  I came back into the living room with all of the paperwork and the paperwork showing the refund.

I explained to him that I had credited back his deposit.  I asked for payment for the female and for him to read the Dog Sales Agreement and sign it. 

The sales price for the female was $6000.00 and our sales tax rate is 7%.  This would add up to $420.00 in taxes.  So the total cost that he paid was $6420.00

Karla spoke up then and said 7 percent that is too high.  I replied no that is what the sales tax rate is.

They left my home and everyone acted fine and happy.

Days later I got a call from a friend stating that someone had posted a report on this site.

I contacted Mr. Burkhalter and he stated he had no knowledge of this post.  He stated he would contact Karla and discuss it with her and call me back.  I never received a return call from Mr. Burkhalter or Karla regarding the post.

My husband finally called Karla and she told him that she had posted the information while she was on some type of drug and that she was not thinking clearly and acted irrationally.  She agreed that she was not truthful in her statements and she agreed she would go back and tell the truth to clear this up.  The conversation was very civil and recorded.

Finally she made the half hearted retraction you see posted on here.

I have called since and left a message on her phone asking her to call me so that we can clear this up.  She has not returned my call to date.

Mr. Burkhalter and especially his wife were very nice acting people.  

I would also like to say that it is a law that you have to collect sales taxes.  This is not a fee it is a TAX. 

I am required to collect this from the customers and send it to the State every month.  In talking to Karla she stated that she pays her taxes at the end of the year.  Well so do I, at that time it is called Income Tax and has nothing to do with Sales Tax.

Karla should have corrected all of the untruths in the original post she made.  There was no scamming or morphing or any of the other things that she claims.  She should have posted her retraction with as much passion as she posted initially.

I have always prided myself in the quality and the health of my Bulldogs.  My kennel is open and the dogs are available to view to anyone that wants to see them.  I have nothing to hide.

So this is the truth of the matter regarding this post and I would expect that Karla Lowe and Mr. Burkhalter would come back on here and absolutely retract this with as much vigor as the initial post.

It is totally uncivil and cowardly to come on here and attack someone falsely under an anonymous name.

 I am sorry I wrote this report. It was only my opinion that the pictures had been altered in some way. I do not have proof of that. Also I might state that charging taxes and extra fee's are fine as long as the person is aware of it up front. Her kennels are very nice and well maintained.
