During the estimate I was told they used a product that sat on the footing of the foundation of my basement. They did not use the product they said they advertised in there brochure. They used some cheap pipe bought at home depot. The same goes for the sump liner they installed. The sump liner they installed was the exact one they said in the brochure was out of date and not pleasant to look at.
They didnt install an alarm at the hot water heater as quoted in the agreement. The dam they built around the hot water heater has about a half inch gap on the both sides and wouldnt work if the water heater let go.
They did a sloppy job outside. The pipe coming out of the house was crooked and they were supposed to cut and flop over the grass, dig up the soil, lay the pipe and lay the grass back over the pipe.  That didnt happen. They dug up the lawn and turned into a mess. There are some spots where they didnt even cover the pipe.

Answering cusumer's question

To answer your question, I did some work for Advanced Basement Technologies and presented the system to this customer. I did not install the system. This customer contacted me several times and complained to me, I referred him to ABT'S owners. This customer has a verified complaint with the BBB.

In my response, I suggested that the owners of ABT contact Greg and make him happy so he can change this to a positive review.

Again, I have never posted anything at all against ABT on any of these sites. I am content to go in my own direction and it is my hope that both these parties can work out their differences so this customer can report that they are now happy. I found this post with my name mentioned purely by accident.

It is my hope this can be resolved as I wish no harm to anyone.

I have no idea about this company or any of the people mentioned.  But Michael there is one thing I am curious about.

You say you didn't post it..okay perhaps you didn't.  But even if you didn't post it can you explain how you not only know who did but have all of that person's contact information?

I am only writing this as the owner of this company has incorrectly named me, Michael Sears, as the person who wrote this report. I had nothing to do with the publishing of this report. I have contacted the author, Greg, who lives in New Hampshire who has confirmed that he posted this report. Greg is also the only person in 9 years who posted a BBB complaint. I would highly suggest that both parties here use some common sense and work out a solution to fix the homeowners problem so he can post a positive review.
Again, I have nothing to do with this post and have NEVER posted anything in regards to Advanced Basement Technologies. If anyone cares to contact me, I can give them the author's contact number so that it can be positively verified that he and he alone posted this complaint.

  I never would be posting on here if my name wasn't mentioned. A simple phone call to ABT'S existing customer would have been warranted to investigate if the customer wrote this post. I would hope that Advanced Basement would confirm with Greg that he posted it and write a simple rebuttal stating the truth.

Every one who knows Mike Sears knows this is his work. He even did this
kind of thing to another company he worked for. Truth is Mike is a
master manipulator who will use any method to try to make his 4 month
old company glow. How amazing that after almost 9 years in business a
complaint like this comes up. Funny there's not even a name to go with
this complaint. Also the user ID sends an email "from" ABT's email
account, hmm suspicious. Mike, you have a lot to learn you sad, sad
person.

If any party is interested in knowing the full truth please contact one of the Owners, Kevin or David.
