Advanced Business Services Requested phone and address confirmation and refused to answer my question as to what they wanted. I called their number and found out they had subscribed me to a voice mail service which I did not authorize. St. Louis, Missouri

I received a phone call at my office at 11 am on March 20, 2009. The man asked me to confirm my address and phone number as I was to receive a "rebate" from the phone company. After I confirmed this information, I asked who his company was and what they wanted. He gave me an 888 number and then hung up. I called the 888 number, and was told I had subscribed to a voice mail service. They checked their records and saw that we had signed up, unknowingly, for this service in 2006 and had immediately cancelled. I was told that paperwork was coming in the mail. I told the operator to cancel anything and everything - that we did not want voice mail service and to take our name off their records. She said she would.
