Advanced Metal Roofing Company unpaid subcontractor Wilmington North Carolina

i am a subcontractor from the new hanover area that worked for advanced metal roofing for almost 2 yrs.in our subcontract agreement it clearly states that i am a subcontractor and i may and can work for other contractors and/or the public.they also knew that i had been in business as a subcontractor in the brunswick,new hanover and surrounding counties for well over 20 yrs.

as their business slow'd down for the winter months i had to look for work elsewhere to stay busy.in rebuttal for making this business move they handed me 4 jobs at once and authorized all repairs and ran up several thousand dollars in billing for the week and then hands me 25% of what they owed me and released my company for working with the public.after 2 weeks they gave me approx.15% of my balance and approx. 2-3 weeks later approx.another 10-15% of the balanced due.

in the sub.agreement it clearly states after release they can hold my money for up to 60 days.needless to say it has been over 7-8 mths and still have not been paid my balance which is still several thousand dollars.
i am not writing this report in hopes of getting my money cause i know i will in due time get all monies owed, but in hopes to warn other contractors and whoever may want to consider doing business with this company to google this company by business name and go futher than the first 4-5 pages and you should also google the owners name and likewise search past the first 4-5 pages. thank you to all who took the time to read my report.i wll keep postings as things move along with the balance owed to me.
