These scam artists got me and my wife on nov. 12, 2005. They were very persistent and somewhat believing that we would receive 12,500 dollars in federal grant money because we have been excellent tax payers. We got sucked in and gave out pertinent bank info. After thinking about it for a while I believed this to be some type of scam and when they called back later that night I confronted them and told them I was contacting my bank and refusing any EFT transactions. The Indian accented scammer with the american name Steve Smith got very rude and hung up on me. I contacted my bank on nov. 14, 2005 and placed a block on my acount. The only authorization via a recording was given for 49.95 after receiving the 12,500 to be done on the 15th of Nov. After about a week and no activity showed to my account I took the block off and no s**t the bastards took $228.28 out of my account on Nov. 22, 2005. I have since filed an affidavit with the bank stating I did not authorize this money to be taken out and an Investigation is underway to retrieve my money. Also I am filing a complaint with the attorney generals office regarding this scam. Please beware of the indian accented thieves
