We were very excited to get the attractive offer of "free telemarketing", with over 400 telemarketers, etc.
We talked several times with Bob Berglund. We then purchased the list of 5000 criteria-selected leads, sent them a check for $750. We then, a week later received our list,which was supposed to be: homeowners, credit score of atleast 550, revolving debt of atleast 20k, with an ltv of 80% or less, and a loan size of atleast 75k. We did not receive ANY telemarketed applications for two weeks with these supposed 400 telemarketers. We then called and emailed several times, we finally did get an "application" from someone who was not even on the list and was not interested whatsoever. We also called the remaining 4000 leads, which were: renters, and also renters in government housing, businesses, etc. None of them were of the criteria we bought.

Then after calling and emailing several more times, we did receive another "free list". Which was supposed to be of our initial criteria, and again, it was a bogus list. The numbers were in sequential order, all renters and businesses as well.

We have read the rebuttal that the owner has updated on this site, and please be advised, we have got taken advantage of, and were really mislead. We will keep persuing our money back.

Misleading Information

I am responding personally to Jennifer's allegations. In any business relationship it is important to work together to make it a success. I have many client's, mostly mortgage, and we work together to gather the most targeted list and provide qualified leads and/or transfers. This is what we do best, and I have the reference letters to back this up. While it is true that not all campaigns start off as well as we would prefer, without question we do all that we can to make the needed adjustments to insure long term success. This is in our best interests, as we rely on renewals.

We've been doing this since 1998 and, if you do your research, you will find that these complaints are very few when viewed against the industry as a whole. There are a lot of variables when it comes to any form of marketing, but I feel that it is unfair to label a company as dishonest based on a few personal complaints. Sometimes it's easier to put the blame on others, instead of ourselves. I wish Capital Mortgage all the best.
