Here is the run down.
1. I moved across the country from the local bank in Michigan.
2. Can't pay online due to there banking login always resets me out. Seems to have cookie issues with Google Chrome. (not their fault)
So I call the bank two months ago asking them if there is a process to pay over the phone since I can't pay online they said there isn't. I am like that is a issue since I moved across the country and would like to pay now.
So I send my cash for payment to friend in Michigan to pay the bill. They deny him a month ago from paying in the banking location of Plainwell due to his account being past due. I guess if your account is past due with the bank you can't even pay for someone elses account with someone elses money. They said if he came into office with cash next time this wouldn't be issue.
A week later he comes in with Cash "MY CASH" not his funds, but mine. Denied him from paying onto my account due to his account being past due. In order for him to pay my bill he must pay his bill first. Outragous policy.
Then they put information on my credit report late payment. I tell them this is due to them denying payment due to their policy. They said I will have to dispute this with credit report agency. I ask them if you can put it on then you can take it off due to you denying him. They say they don't have this ability. Last I known they do have this ability.
Also their ability to put this on a credit report should be looked into since they denied twice funds for payment of the credit card through them. They blew this off like its not their problem.
Then what is worst is that since they turned my friend away, they asked if I would like to make the payment over the phone. Which is the reason I went through the whole process.

There must be missing information in your report. I find it very strange that if you have a browser issue, why wouldn't you just use a different browser for that particular bank? Chrome is not the only readily available browser. Research a little and you will see that there are many you can use - for free.
So if the browser issue is easily fixable; and, you chose to not fix it, but to do something much more complex, then there must be an underlying reason for jumping all those hoops to pay your bill. I suspect you just didn't have the money to make your payment, that is why it was late.
The telling statement you make is: "Then they put information on my credit report late payment"
The bank/credit union can only put the late pay on your credit report if you are late 30 days. That is a significant late. Not just a week beyond the due date, 30 days beyond the due date.
Sending the money to your friend to make the payment in person is probably the least efficient way to handle this issue of your past due bill.
REMEDY: A much faster way is to either use your current bank's bill pay feature. Another fast way is to see if your credit union is a member of Credit Union National Association (CUNA) where you have shared banking. Or change your browser. You might even be able to Western Union a payment to your credit card if you only have cash on hand. It's better to send the payment directly to the credit card than through a friend.
