I had moved from Boise, Idaho back to Colorado Springs the end of February 2008. Closed out a savings account I had there the end of February also. I have been staying with my son in Colorado Springs, and sent the IRS a change of address form so my stimulas package would arrive at my son's address. It's now the end of May 2008 and I called the bank in Idaho to see if the refund had gone there.
Well, they said the account hadn't been closed and the refund had been deposited the 9th of May and two checks posted May 7th for $19.95 from AEC FBO Government Grant Membership and May 12th for $19.95 from AEC FBO Medlink Free Trial Subscription Program was deducted from my account. I had no idea who these people are and the bank faxed me a copy of the checks. They have my son's address and my name on it. How can this happen. So I called the bank back and told them this was fraud and what I can do about this. So at this point we are working on it. If there are this may issues with these people why hasn't something been done. I also file a report with the FBI on line.
