Affordable Auto Repair fraudulent, dishonest, lies to government agencies, falsifies paperwork, irresponsible, untimely, incompetent Fort Worth, Texas

I contacted Affordable Auto Repair via telephone to give them an issue that my car was having with the A/C they told me to bring it in for a diagnostic.  I was given an A/C diagnostic after they had tested it with the proper equiptment and inspection and was told to replace the expansion valve and receiver/drier. My car stayed in their possession for 10 days for a 3.3 book-hour job, despite being told it would be ready after a couple hours. I was told twice that my car was ready and drove across town to pick it up.  Both times I was turned away and informed it was not ready. 

I called on one last time and was told it was working and paid.  Once I started the car, I noticed immediately that the A/C was not functioning at all, which was reported at the time to an employee.  I was informed by another driver that my hood was not completely latched in.  I pulled over and it still wouldnt shut; the latch mechanism was bent and saw that my hood was dented along the front due to the technician trying to forcefully shut it, as I later found out and was admitted by a technician.  I called back that day to find out why my A/C was not working and informed them of the damages.

I was told to bring my car back on the next 2 Sundays when they were closed since there was no time to work on my car throughout the week, so they could give it special attention.  The second Sunday, I was informed that the condenser they had taken out of my car was damaged after trying to replace it.  I got home and looked under the hood to verify I had all the parts.  I noticed the condenser bracket was sitting loose and a bolt that was supposed to hold it in place was broken in the car.   The low and high side pressure caps were missing, and the a/c system was open to air and dirt.  This will cause the repairs provided by them to be replaced again, along with a system flush.  I also paid for an evacuation and recharge, along with the price of refrigerant. Since the shop had intentionally cut my original functional condenser, they had no way of replacing the refrigerant and service that I paid for.

As a direct result of my service at Affordable Auto Repair, my car no longer has a complete or functional A/C system, and has sustained many damages while in their possession. I took my car to a repair shop, and they estimated just the body repair and broken bolt to be over $700.

Later, I reported this to the Better Business Bureau because I went 12 days without a car, being a full-time employee with a daughter and attending college full-time, it was very difficult and I wanted people to know what they have put me through.  When they disputed my claim, they falsified work orders, said that I admitted to the owner personally that my friends banged on my hood at a party, and in another falsified statement from their shop, they said the damages to the hood were already there and I had told them a friend was trying to shut the hood, that's why the dents were there.  They have failed to take responsibility for all the damages they caused, even the ones they admitted to me. 

I took my car to another shop and they had it ready in one day, even after correcting all of the issued AAR caused.  There are many other lies, damages, inconsistencies, and hardships the shop has caused me.  But I find it's best to inform the public of the bad seeds in the automotive repair industry, and praise the honest ones.
