This place is a denture mill, stay away from it!!
I waited the entire day for service, that was the best part of the process. I developed an extreme infection, ran a fever of 104 for two days, even with antibiotics. Proper oral care was in place with diluted Listerine rinses every 2-4 hours. My mouth and face was so swollen and the pain was so intense, I could not wear dentures. Before the dentures were put in my mouth, the assistant said she would put a cushion (goop) in both the top and bottom of the dentures, which of course, messed up the already messed up bite. That cushion hardened and stuck to the dentures. I wonder why they did the impressions.
I had large teeth with a slight overbite. The dentures looks like they were made for a child with very small teeth and a huge under bite.
My pain has become so intense, I saw another dentist to get a panoramic x-ray to make sure broken roots hadn't been left in my jaw. There were no root fragments, but the severe infection was confirmed and the dentures are worthless and they cannot be worn. It appears as they gave me dentures that were made for someone else.
I have had to buy more medication for infection and pain. Also, I have to have another set of teeth made. I guarantee you, Affordable Dentures will not make the second set. And I will demand the money back for the set they did make. I hope I dont have to get a lawyer, but I will if I have to.

**The complaint was made by the patient's mother, not the patient.**
On 4/10/2008 the patient had multiple teeth extracted and immediate (temporary) healing dentures made. The patient was fully informed that the immediate denture is fabricated with impressions that are taken BEFORE the teeth are extracted and thus approximated to fit the way the gum tissue/ridge will be after the extractions. Affordable Dentures stands behind their service and product. They offer a new denture wearer package at a very economical price, which includes a final (or permanent) denture that is made after appoximately 6 months of healing. After the patient had the extractions the patient returned for evaluation a week later. He had been to another dentist according to his mother. The dentist said the dentures were off. The exam at the Affordable Dentures office revealed that the patient had a tendency to protrude his lower jaw (mandible) when biting. And that actually the bite (occlusion) and esthetics of the IMMEDIATE temporary dentures looked pretty good. Though the doctor said the dentures were pretty good, he STILL decided to REMAKE the dentures at NO CHARGE with a wax try in to ensure patient satisfaction. The dentures were properly adjusted and delivered and the patient left the office comfortable and pleased. Sometime before this visit during the initial time of healing, which can be very uncomfortable, the patient's MOTHER decided to enter a complaint on this site. But she failed to follow up the complaint with remarks about how Affordable Dentures worked to be sure her son was comfortable and happy. The patient was followed up with after this complaint was discovered and a phone conversation verified he was "doing great and had no problems" and actually seemed to have no idea that his mother had listed a complaint online. Affordable Dentures-Tampa puts the patient and quality of care first. Because of the lower fees and turn around on the dentures it is busy at times, but be assured that everyone in the office is working extremely hard to please the patient, and make high quality denture prosthetics in a timely manner.
