This husband and wife team will give you a low ball offer and then will not take your belongings off the truck until you give them more money. They lied about my delivery date, none of my furniture was wrapped, they showed up in a rented Enterprise van with unprofessional movers who didn't know how to pack furniture or boxes. I have moved many times in my life and I have never had an experience like this.

"Rubie" (her real name is Zafrit Ruvio) is the president, dispatcher, receiptionist all-in-one. She is the one that I dealt with 90% of the time. She was the sales person that contacted me about the move initially. I put in a request for a mover on a website and was contacted by many companies. Affordable Van Lines gave me the best offer. When I asked "Rubie" if they had a report with the BBB she said they are listed but they are not members. She said that they have been in business for years and there are no bad reports and that it was a family owned and operated business.

Moving day was a nightmare. They showed up late and gave me all kinds of excuses. The weirdest thing was they showed up in a rented Enterprise truck. I thought to myself, don't they have their own trucks if it's a family business?? I had to deal with Carmelo Lemoine who was rude and didn't have a clue what he was doing. He told me I had more stuff than I was quoted for and that I would have to pay more money. I told him I wasn't paying a dime more and to leave. They called "Rubie" and she spoke to me and said that I wouldn't be charged extra as long as I "took care of the movers" with a tip. I told her to tell them to take the van and leave and I would move the stuff myself. She then told me she had my deposit and by law she could keep it.

At this point, if I could go back in time, I would have told them to shove it and had my credit card company stop that pending payment. Instead "Rubie" talked me out of it and I allowed them to pack my stuff up. I can go on and on about how my experience was when they came to deliver my furniture. They refused to take anything off until I paid them more. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU, CALL THE POLICE!! I regret not doing that! He told me I could call the police and that it would be months before I saw my stuff again and that he would throw it in storage. At this point all I wanted was my stuff that I had not seen in a month.

No pots and pans or a bed for a month! I paid them in CASH ONLY and they took the stuff off. My two year old furniture was dusty, had been dragging on pavement or other surfaces and was ruined--none of it had been covered!

These scam artists, ZAFRIT RUVIO & BENNY BENYAMIN, have been opening and closing businesses under different company names and even different first and last names (changing letters around in their names) for years probably because of all the bad comments online. They recently got their license revoked for Afforable Van Lines and will probably continue to do the same thing to other people. Here is the info I have on them so far:
