A little over a year ago I got a bad case of the shingles, which prevented me from working as a nurse Practitioner. I stopped working on May 28th, and applied for the disability benefits from Aflac I had been paying for about 3 years.

When I finally received the benefit, instead of the ~100 per DAY I was supposed to receive, I only got ~100 per week, and had to reapply ( a lengthy process) every two weeks, which required significant information from my doctors time as well.

I went back to work part time in September, having only received about $300 in benefits that I had paid thousands for. Aflac is a ripoff.
