I purchased 3 Air Conditioning units for my home in February of 2014 from AG Airconditioning & Heating Services, Inc owned by Abel Garza. I got estimates from 4 companies and AG was the least expensive and I had used them in the past to service my last home so I went with them. One of the other companies that I told I was going with AG warned me that they had a bad reputation and they sent me a link to other complaints on the Ripoff report website. That was my first red flag. I decided that anyone can write a bad review so to save 1k dolkars on a 14k project I decided to go forward with AG. When I went to pay for the project the representative of the company told me they had to wait until my credit card payment cleared so that the company would have enough money in the bank to purchase the equpment needed for the completion of my project. This was red flag # 2. It appears that the company is very poorly capitalized and could shut down at any moment in my opinion. After my units were installed I inquired on my 10 year extended warranty for labor that was part of my contract and I was given the run around for months.

Part of my contract was to have 2 years of ac service on all 3 units ( aprox value of $1000) As you will see from text messages below Abel Garza will no longer honor what was included in my contract. As a line item in the contract it shows included here rather than a dollar amount so it would be difficult to get any recovery from a legal standpoint. The other thing they did was charge in the 14k contract only $400 dollars for the 10 year AIG extended warranty even though the cost everywhere else was $1500. This way they just sent me back $400 dollars rather than providing me what was in my contract and now it will cost me $1500 to purchase what was promise. This is a classic bait and switch and this is why I feel Abel Garza on a con artist and should be avoided. I am out $2200 by doing business with him. 

 

After 5 months from February 2014 to July 2014 I continued to try to get my warranties from the owner Abel Garza by calling his company. In June I was told that they already had purchased the warranties but they didn't come with any paperwork by Abel's wife who either was lying or didnt understand what I had purchased I did speak with Abel Garza who promised he would get me what I paid for.  After waiting another month I switched to texting as you can see below from the following texts. I felt including these texts here would show what I had to deal with.

I don't have the info with me, John gave the warranty away to you, he didn't bill it to you correctly, this is what I just found out when you and I spoke last. 
I can do this on Monday, I need to make sure it is the correct warranty, there are so any different warranty that I need to confirm the one you need with AIG.

I look forward to hearing from you next week so that I can get the warranty that was in my invoice.

Update, AIG wants me to give them an insurance licence form 2-52, I am appling for it, it's a separate Florida lic. Then they will take the information an labor warranty, I'll keep you posted.

I'm still waiting on the state to send me my insurance registration number, The sales department at Train did not mention this to me when I signed up for this program, my apologies, as soon as.I receive this form I will purchase and forward you the warranty. Thank you for your patience.

Abel , Todd here, it has now been 8 months since you installed my AC units , I will give you until the end of the month to get me the warranties that I paid for. If I do not have them by  October 31st I will be moving forward with a lawsuit in which you will be responsible for my attorney fees. I have been very fair with you these past 8 months but now I need to do what is best for my family.

I will not pay  for your lawsuit I have no control over the state's lack of sending me the proper paperwork, along with that I did not sell the warranty to you a former employee John sold that to you at a substantial discount that is actually costing me more than it cost you. I was recovering from Sergery when your job was sold. I had no idea what was happening until John left me this mess. I don't appreciate your threats, your lack of appreciation for the work that was done for you for a highly unreasonable cost, our company made no profit on your job. 
I will send you a check for the warranty credit that was given to you by the end of the month.
Your fired as a customer.
You are free to find another service company to deal with.

In the end I am happy to not have to ever deal with Abel Garza again. Frankly, I wouldn't even trust him or anyone associated with his company in my home based on this experience. I only am submitting this complaint so that others can have a fair warning. This is the only complaint I have ever made on this or any website.

It is very upsetting to see people post lies on the internet about Business owners that have done nothing but help a customer , this customer does forget the late night calls to his home to help his family get there ac up and running and he was not chagred what he should have been charged in all the calls our company did for him . He wants everything for free and we have never had a customer treat us in this manner . This site is horrable becasue they want Buiness owners to pay to remove a bad review , well we are not going to pay to have lies removed , We fired the client something we have never had to done in the 20 years in Business . We wish him well and hope he never uses another company the way he used us. He was refuneed his money for the warranty his wanted and then fired as a client . We will not response to this comment anymore . We did the right thing for this customer from day one and he also tried to not pay us it was always a battle to collect what he owed us .
