Unscrupulous, Negligent Thieves!! 

Do not use this company.  These guys moved us from LA to Northern CA about 500 miles.  Firm quote was $5000 including one month free storage (which wasn't cheap!).  Halfway through loading the truck, they started expressing doubts that everything would fit.  The truck was plenty big enough for all of our stuff, but the inside was marked off in sections representing the number of containers it would take to store it in their warehouse. We had to start choosing what to leave behind after they had loaded most of the boxes we would have jettisoned.  They charged an additional $500 for the "extra" stuff they loaded, then they "suggested" that it would be proper to pay an additional 10 to 20% tip!! They wanted $500 to $1000! We started offering the guys furniture on top of the $100 cash tip we paid.  They got a Weber gas grill, a radial arm saw, a butcher block table and chairs, one even snagged a potted plant off the front porch.  (We left a lot more furniture we could have used with the new homeowners).  When we finally got our stuff delivered, the guys insisted that we had to pay them the balance of $3000 in cash before they would unload!  They were upset when I came back from a 50 mile round-trip to our bank with a cashiers check!  It felt like extortion....  all of the boxes were crushed with about 20% of the contents smashed.  Some crushed furniture, including an antique table belonged to some other poor schmucks.  In the end, we were missing our wooden porch glider, a custom-made couch and numerous boxes with duplicate inventory numbers.  The company says they checked the warehouse to no avail and tried to convince me that everything was delivered to us..... Yeah, everything on the trucks..... How do you lose a freakin couch??  I suspect it and the glider ended up at one of the mover's homes.
