Air Care Solutions Scam air duct cleaners Atlanta Georgia

I got a mailer with a “deal” for an air duct cleaner and organic deodorizer for $ 44.00 from Air Care Solutions. There is a musty smell coming from our ducts so I decided to give them a try. When they arrived I immediately got a bad feeling about them.

  They brought in their cleaners and went around my house cleaning some of the vents. They think I didn’t notice that they skipped some of the vents but, I did. Then they supposedly found mold in the ducts and I would need a sanitizer for 300 dollars. I said I would need to call my landlord because we are renters and that is not something I will be paying for. They then very rudely replied that “good luck, he won't pay for it”.

When I said I had a good landlord he said “yeah that’s what everyone says”.  I called and my landlord raised suspicions because of how cheaply they were supposedly cleaning the ducts. He said he had a company he trusted and he would send them out.  When I told them we wouldn’t be buying the sanitizer he scoffed “yeah I have a feeling how this will go here’s my cell phone number. You’ll need it”.

 They left and I checked my bank account only to find the check I wrote them for $46.01 was withdrawn for $96.01. I called Air Care Solutions and they said they would have to wait 2 business days to see if the bank would catch the mistake. I replied that they needed to call the bank now and tell them that there is a mistake on the check.

They replied “We are not going to call the bank because you made a mistake”. I have the check counterfoil that shows I clearly wrote “Forty Six Dollars” in both words and numbers very clearly.So, I am not sure how this is my mistake. The only mistake I made was hiring them to do anything for me.  I will now have to go to my bank to have this handled.

Air Care Solutions is a rude company. They do not care about their customers and do a terrible job.  Avoid the headache.
