I just wanted to warn anyone reading this to watch out for Airsplat.com. My son ordered what looked to be a very nice electric airsoft rifle from Airsplat.com. When we received the gun I was impressed by the look and feel of it. However that changed very quickly.

After charging the battery with the included charger we had to wait for several hours to let the battery cool off so that it could be handled. The first few rounds that my son put through the gun seemed to work well enough but then the gun stopped working.

We examined the gun and could see no obvious problems however the battery was once again too hot to touch (this is after shooting maybe 10 rounds). We allowed the battery to cool off and tried once again to shoot the gun with no luck. The gun only made a quiet "click" sound when the trigger was pulled.

My wife attempted to contact Airsplat by phone at least 8-12 times and could never get through. She tried to e-mail Airsplat and after several e-mails received a reply that said no refund was available after THREE DAYS AFTER PURCHASE!!

Please keep in mind that it took nearly a month of attempting to contact Airsplat before we received a reply.

Needless to say, we were not happy about the service and once again called Airsplat. We got through this time and were told twice that they would be happy to replace the gun. We would be charged the return shipping of around $10 or so but my son paid nearly $90 for the gun so I was willing to pay the shipping.

After several weeks we received the replacement gun. When we tried to shoot it THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED!! The battery became so hot it could not be touched and the gun refused to fire. We once again contacted Airsplat via e-mail and were told that we could exchange the gun and have it repaired but because it was after three days we could not get a refund. Of course we would have to pay the return shipping AGAIN.

I told them that we had already been down that road and I was not interested in exchanging an obviously defective gun for another defective gun and that I wanted my money back.

They told me that it was our fault that the gun didn't work because we were using "cheap BB's" that damaged the gun and that they were going out of their way to help us by exchanging the gun after the warranty expired.

To set the record straight we used the best BB's we could find from a reputable Airsoft supplier. I can bet that they were better quality than the ones shipped with the gun! We did absolutely nothing that would have damaged the gun. Remember we shot maybe 10 rounds through each gun!

At this point I do not feel that Airsplat will refund my money so I will probably be out nearly $100. As they say..."live and learn." I will not be purchasing any more products from Airsplat.

Thank you for notifying us about your case. After reading over your situation, it sounds rather complicated. I wasn't able to retrieve your order. Unfortunately, I can't directly comment on your case without knowing the all the circumstances.
