AIT Truck Driver Training Uses Federal Student Loans to try to lure and scam students Phoenix Arizona

 AIT uses deceptive practices to lure students into signing up for courses promising jobs, and using federal student loan money to pay for classes. I signed up for the school in August 2015 and attended 2 weeks and recieved my permit. I had to pay $400 down to pay for permit and books. Tuition was to be covered by federal student loans and pell grant. I kept checkin in with financial aid several times because something didn't feel right. All I heard for two weeks from financial aid was, everything is fine. Two weeks into the program, I got notice to see financial aid. They told me my financial aid package fell through and needed to sign up for one of their high interest rate in house loans. Seemed really fishy, so I told them I was withdrawing, they said fine. Last week, almost a year later, I recieved a letter from a collection agency stating I owed tuition in full. I never received anything from them stating anything the day I left after not signing their paperwork for the high interest loan. The school is a rip off. The instructors are sexist against women entering the field. I had several instances where I was put on the spot for being a female, asking why I would want to enter a mans field. The school is a scam. The school is now owned by Werner Enterprises. When we went were told we'd have pre hire letters and got them from Werner and didn't like their pay scale and preferred to go to another company and felt highly pressured to work at Werner. Found out later, they get kickback money from the company.
