AIU American Intercontinental University Online Exposed on 60 Minutes! Scam! Mediocre! Incompetent! Unprofessional! ripoff Hoffman Estates Illinois

Wow, I don't even know where to begin but I'll keep it short and sweet with some facts thrown in to keep it real!

1 - Anyone considering AIU, please don't. You will regret it. Notice the how many complaints have been posted recently!

2 - Visit the Better Biz Bureau website, as of Feb. 4, 05 - AIU has been hit with a total of 57 reported complaints in the past 36 months. I WILL BE NO. 58.

3 - About AIU, the website is OK, just a basic Microsoft Share Pointe site, not cutting edge technology. It is subject to frequent upgrades and does have technical difficulties/glitches. The support/help desk is not very professional or helpful in my experience. I was tempted to drop after a particularly bad week but my dedication to in pursuit of my education goals prevented me.

4 - Customer Service is lacking/non-existant. It's due to the incompetence of an inferior Academic advisor (Jean Peters) that I will no longer be attending AIU. I do feel lucky that I only lost these past 10 weeks (I wish I had stuck with my first mind and dropped this school after the third week, see #3).

5 - CBS did a "60 Minutes" special aired on Jan. 31, 2005. The subject was about distance learning scams and a company called CEC - Career Education Corporation. Shocked, guess what CEC owns AIU! Nuff said. You can find this story online too.

6 - Class action anyone? The time I've wasted on AIU is worth as much if not more than the tuition they will come after me for. However, I refuse to pay for this fraud. I did not receive an education, but a lesson was learned nonetheless. AIU, I'll see you in court.

Finally, I dare any wack-a** AIU employee or sympathizer to refute or rebutt this. Bring it! What?!?!? We right here and we ain't going nowhere.
