My husband has been going to AIU online, I seen where they charge one person 4200.00 well let me tell you this one, my husband had been granted a full pell grant 4400.00 a year, plus another 2100. freedom grant.
This seems like a real rip off.
Only book he ever recieved was an algebra.
I also read where one person stated US gov't approved, well I filled a report to them today about this AIU, I went to TTU on a pell grant and it's one of the top univ in Tennessee, the pell grant paid for everything, 12 semisters hrs. two times a year plus 3 semisters credits a summer.
AIU well my husband has only been doing 1 class a week meeting on sun sometimes he has 2 classes and it's for an associate's!!!
I questioned AIU about this price and even asked how come one person is charged 1 bill and we are charged a higher bill, They only replied that they are a preteigous college, I asked if they belonged to a board of regents they stated yes, but when I looked out board of regions GA there was nothing there about AIU.
I asked where the professors got their PHD they refused to tell me!!!
We got no text books other then algebra.
I also called TTU and asked if any credits from AIU would transfer they stated NO that they don't belong to a regions board which means that theire degree's mean notta..
I'll join anyone who wants to file a law suit. For I see nothing but a scam.
I finally talked my husband into attending a REAL College, so when the next semister starts that is where he'll be going!!!

You need to talk to TTU and ask why they won't take credits when AIU is regionally accredited. I rant it and they are covered but I will most likely just go with another online college like South University
