In May of 2015 I was preparing an Indiegogo campaign to raise money for a project I had developed.  I was given Alan's information (via Facebook) and was told he could help promote the campaign.  I reached out to him in early May and set up everything for the campaign to start in June.  I paid him $199 via PayPal to hire him to promote my campaign.

I launched the campaign and Alan did nothing to promote it. I messaged him several times via Facebook and each time he promised to get it taken care of that day. I contacted him halfway through the campaign asking when he would have something up and running and he promised to get it up the next day.  Again, nothing happened. Finally, at the end of the campaign (June 24th) I messaged him asking for a refund.  He said he would take care of it 'by the weekend."  Again, nothing happened.  I gave it a month, at which point I had a problem with PayPal on my end so I gave him my address.  He promised to send a money order.  Again, nothing happened.  Finally, on August 13th I messaged him again about sending the money and he said he would make it a 'top priority."

He never refunded the money.  I tried a couple of times over the next two years to try and get some kind of response from him but he refused to acknowledge any of my correspondence. 

I wrote it off as a loss but now I'm seeing that he is still out there scamming other people and playing the same game....offering services for $199, doing nothing, saying he'll refund the money and then just shutting the person out and blocking them.  This needs to stop.
