Alansis is a lead generation companmy offering mortgage leads for loan originators. They basically identify leads as being less than 24-hours old, plus anywhere from 1 - 30 days old. You pay a premium amount for these leads ($5.00 - $75.00). I've complained to the account executive in the past about bogus leads.

Supposedly, they were 100% guaranteed when I originally signed up. Then I tried to replace several leads from a given order and was told that we could only replace 1/3 rd of a given order. I stopped using them in May, due to the high occurance of bogus leads. I tried them again today, because I still had a balance on my account. I ordered 5 leads that were supposed to be less than 24 hours old. All 5 leads were unuseable due to: bad telephone numbers (4), area codes not matching the given address (3), names not found in the various search engines for a given town or state (4), numbers unverifiable (4), and the one that I like the most: all information was correct, except the applicant had not asked for nor had he been contacted within the last 24 hours, 7 days, month or whatever.

He had refinanced a year ago and was not looking for a mortgage!!! When I originally signed up for their service back in the fall of 2004, I purchased 5 LIVE leads @ $50.00 ea. LIVE leads are where their telemarketers call you directly with a live applicant. Supposedly, the calls have already been screened, prior to receiving the hand off. The very first call was from a couple one breathe away from total bankruptcy, FICO scores that were hovering below 500, and an asked for loan amounbt of $85,000. "Screened" was to have been qualified for a loan amount greater than $100,000, respectable FICO scores, and income - clearly this couple was NOT screened. I asked for my money back from my Account Executive - I'm still waiting! These people are a huge rip-off. They do NOT deliver the the type of leads that they advertise. Most are bogus!
