Received text from "Alex George" wanting to buy an item listed on craigslist. He sent a fake notice from paypal stating that he had made payment, but funds wouldn't be released until PayPal received a tracking number when the item was shipped. PayPal does not operate in this way, of course. He wanted the item shipped to his "cousin" glory Michael in Romulus, michigan. The address actually belongs to a company which ships goods overseas to Nigeria.
This is a WARNING to others to be wary of receipts supposedly from paypal which contain poor grammar, misspellings, demands for tracking numbers and the like. Do not click on any links contained therein. Do not ship anything of value to a company on Wayne Rd in Romulus, Michigan.
