we applied for a contractor to do insulation in our attic and alex answered our request he stated that he would do the job on thursday oct. 28,2010..but he called on wednesday oct27, stating that he would come by on oct28, to collect half the money first before he started...my husband gave him $300. and he stated he would start the job on friday oct29, 2010 at 8am. well friday came and alex never showed up we waited till almost 9;30am and called he never answered any of his phones, his cell 3474070819his office 3472676529. we left messages and he never called us back,,he is still not answering any phones and we are out $300. what can be done to stop people from doing things like this to the public....

Yes Alex Paonessa Contracting was given $300 to do the insulation work, but what this delusional person fails to mention is that the job was to be $500. The $300 was for the insulation which was delivered to the home owner at his residence and he signed for it. We did not do the jobbecause the job was not profitable for us. So to recap $300 was given to us and material was delivered and signed for installation was not perforemed and $200 balance was not paid. So we did not rip any one off.
