I ordered a used book from Alibris. I wrote several e-mails to confirm:
1.) How soon after they charged my credit card would they ship my item.
2.) The number of days it woudl take for ground shipping. (since I could
not find a shipping chart on their site.)
3.) I ask for a telephone number where they could be reached.

(I got an e-mail but no phone number. I replied that I would never order from them again because they were not accountable, and had a very unfriendly web site.

Note: Later I learned you have to fill our all your information, give your credit card and go to checkout before you can see the shipping charges.

NOTE: I went to privacy policy and fund an address and telephone number. I called them and ask why should the customer have to brouse thier web site for hours to find a telephone number to get a phone number to get answers tro my questions.

I ordered the book. I got a confirmation by e-mail. On 3-6-09 I received a credit for the book. I did not cancel the order. They cancelled the order. The book was for my class. I am now behind on my class work 2 weeks. This is very poor business attitude. Please, everyone inform your family and friends, class mates and anyone else NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY.

THEY ARE A SCAM AT BET.
THANKS

Why should anyone ordering from the internet be required to chase down where the book comes from?

AUTHOR: Roz - (U.S.A.)

Why should anyone ordering from the internet be required to chase down where the book comes from? If the main bookstore is responsible for taking your order and brokering it out to some other store who has the book you ordered, I think the bookstore online who took the order should be responsible. After all they do sub the other bookstores. Why should we spend out time looking up tel numbers and or e-mail addresses locating a store that we did nto order form.

This book store is rewsponsible to the custoer.

This is my opinion.

Alibris is a collection of individual sellers. If the book didnt arrive then the seller of the book didnt send the book.In thas case alibris will refund your money.I am with alibris for last 4 years as both seller and buyer.I never had a problem with them.If the book is sold by alibris then also I am sure they will refund the money. You wont loss any money.
