I thought I was a saavy business woman until I came in contact with a computer company ALIENWARE via the internet.

Typically I will research a company prior to making any purchases unfortunately February 10, 2004 I fell short of my own expectations.

I am only going to sum up my situation with this company otherwise since it took over 1 week to get it resolved it would take 10 pages to explain the process I went through.

I ordered a computer for my son via the internet as well as a consultant on the phone to finish up my order which totaled $1,400.00.

I was told by the rep (Christina) that day when I placed the order that I would be receiveing the computer in 4-7 days.

On or about February 19, 2005 my son inquired about the system & that prompted me to email the company. The next 5 days I recieved a letter from the company stating there was a delay in my order.

Finally I became frustrated and called the company and spoke to a REP (Adi) & the customer service manager (Nick).

Adi informed me that I was never told I would have the system within 7 days - I was insulted when she told me what I was told although she wasn't present. I immediately told her I would hold until the manager got on the phone.

Nick the Manager was very docile and quite clueless which worked out to my benefit. When I inquired about my order which consequently they had charged my credit card immediately he gave me more amunition.

He told me that there were alot of orders for computers that did not go out when they were suppose to.

Customer=Me- Well Nick I don't care about anyone else's computer where is mine.

Nick- Manager= Well the computers are not EVEN BUILT. He even said he could call me every 3 days and give me an update on the progress of the computer but he did not know when it would be built and ready for SHIPMENT.

I was floored and asked him how can they sell a product that they do not have available for deleivery yet charge customers.

He was dumbfounded and I demanded the owners name and number since it was a weekend I had to wait till Monday to contact him. I am certain he was out on his Yacht with my monies along with others.

I called his office only to get the watch DOGS keeping customers like myself from speaking to him. Finally I was able to get to his voice mail. Mr. Alex Aguilar the owner and president of ALIENWARE didn't return any of my calls.

Then on February 28, 2005 I sent 6 emails demanding my monies to be refunded and informed him I was infact an attorney and this was fraudulent business and he could consider this my final notice, prior to taking legal action.

To my suprise I received an email from the company the same day stating that within 7 days my card would be credited.

However being a business owner I know that it only takes a person 5 minutes to credit your account. (REVERSE CHARGE)

I called the company posing as a new customer today and quess what I was told I would get my order within 5 days now.

Do your homework before shopping with this company because after being screwed over myself, I put their name in a seach engine and found thousands of unhappy customers as well as horror stories.
