My son (10 years old) received a $25 gift card from a friend. Since there was a VISA logo, we knew the card could be used anywhere Visa was accepted. HOWEVER, what was no clear was the fact that the card expires.
I called the company - ALL ACCESS GIFTS (should be called THIEVES ARE US) and asked (while standing in line at Best Buy to use the card) why the card wouldn't work. They claimed they have a monthly service fee, and if we don't use the card before those fees continue to add up to match the card limit, that there was essentially no money left on the card.
My son was simply saving up enough of these gift cards so that he could purchase a sizeable gift for himself - an XBOX 360.
This company should be fined HEAVILY. This is extremely disappointing - especially to a 10 year old - that some company basically STOLE the money off that card.
