My move was from Northern California to Beaverton, Oregon. Most of our stuff was already packed in a storage before the move and to be unloaded into a house. The mover told me their men would show up between 1 and 3 PM on the day of the move. However they did not arrive
until 3:50 and never bothered to tell me they would be late despite I told the dispatcher I need to catch a flight back to Oregon at 7PM the same day. Then the movers started slowly over-packing everything. The
would remove the plastic wrap and blankets from our previously packed items and repack them using their own material. After wrapping some big items in blankets and taped them, they would add another layer
of shrink-wrap on top of the blankets. They used 72 rolls of tape!

Even the smallest items and outdoor chairs they would shrink wrap them or blanket wrap them or both. In the final bill they charged $875 for the packing! I had to leave for the flight at about 6 when they finished only about 40% of the total job. I almost missed my flight as
I dashed to the plane and the door had to be reopened to let me in!

At delivery the two men actually work for a different company which was obviously working as a sub-contractor. They wouldn't start working until I pay the remaining $1800 balance in cash (which makes my total cost $4516, way above the original estimate $2363 they gave me before
the move). I called All American and was received by a very rude and confrontational woman who basically was saying you won't get your stuff unloaded until you pay in full what we say you owe. Well we figured we wanted to sleep in our house that night and folded. It took
the two movers 6 hours to unload (from 3:30 to about 9:30PM), I don't blame them because it was a 4-men job and All American only sent two men. The worst thing is they left a mountain of packing waste (tapes, wraps, huge mattress boxes) and refuse to take their own garbage with them, this has never happened before to us in our previous a dozen or so moves (two of which are interstate).
