All Around Pools/Mike All Around Rip-off Pools Somerville, New Jersey

He was suppose to show up at 9:30am on Saturday but we didn't hear from him until after 11:00 am when he called to say that he went to get the liner and it was accidentally put on a delivery truck headed for Princeton. He wouldn't be able to install today but would be there first thing Monday morning. Monday came and went as did Tuesday when we called him to ask where he was...told us he would be there probably Wednesday but was having help issues. No show Wednesday but we finally reached him and he told us Friday was our day...needless to say Friday came and no liner, no Mike, no call. 

Meanwhile our pool is now empty of 19,000 gallons of water and the walls are in danger of collapsing at any time. A groundhog has decided that jumping into the empty pool looks like fun, is tearing up the liner and is getting in between the pool wall and liner. And Memorial Day is around the corner...

Mike finally showed up on Saturday, May 29th with a liner, roll of foam and one helper. All along he told us he needed at least three guys to do the job. He refused to do the install as the weather was iffy (cloudy) even though weather reports said it would clear and be sunny. He also said that one of his helpers didn't show up for work. The day turned out to be beautiful but he was long gone!

Mike told us he would be here on Tuesday but we never heard from him. We had to call when he didn't show and he reiterated that he was having worker difficulty. He would be here on Thursday or Friday.

We called him back Tuesday night and left a message (hardly ever get him directly) that he either showed up for the install on Wednesday or we were calling someone else. We also told him that we wanted him to come and get the liner and foam and demanded our $700 deposit back if he couldn't come Wednesday.

Surprise, surprise- he never showed or called back. We finally reached him Thursday to tell him that we were demanding our deposit back and his services were no longer needed as we had a new liner installed today. He told my husband that we were not getting our money back several times. So All Around Pools did no work yet managed to make a profit as the liner and foam certainly did not cost him $700.

Not only do we not have a receipt for the liner he also never told us where he had purchased it to begin with.

And by the way you can not find an installer willing to install someone else's liner...especially when the liner is sub-par at best. We have filed a police report for whatever good it may do and going to Small Claims Court is next.

Beware of All Around Pools and Mike's poor business ethics (none) and would you believe that we got his number from a reputable inground pool company.
