All My Sons Moving And Storage In Greenville, SC Falsified Inventory Sheets, Severely damaged fine quality furniture; refuses to pay for damages; very rude with poor customer service Greenville/ Simpsonville South Carolina

This statement is in reference to severely damaged household furniture due to negligence on the part of All My Sons Moving and Storage operating in Greenville, SC. The damage to the furniture is significant in appearance and severely diminishes the quality of the furniture.
Preliminary Information: Following the pick-up of our items and furnishings from the former residence, I called All My Sons to voice our concerns over the lack of the movers" reasonable care over our property, failure to quilt-pad wrap the furniture as promised before moving , false claims by the lead mover on the inventory sheets and the movers" overall extreme carelessness. My concerns were quickly dismissed, and Frank, from All My Sons, shouted at me, made rude comments and then hung up the phone. Further, the lead mover claimed all of our furniture was old and damaged and soiled, etc. and proceeded to complete false inventory sheets. The inventory sheets were not discussed with my husband or me before the move, and they were not given to us until AFTER we paid. Otherwise, we would have protested immediately. All of the delivery men were careless that day, so careless in fact, that one broke his nose trying to move a 650lb piece of furniture by himself. This caused significant delays in the moving process of which no allowance was made. We were charged for the entire hour that the moving stopped (i.e. the mover had to go to the hospital and a backup mover had to arrive).

Final Delivery:

All My Sons delivered our property and furnishings on December 7, 2007. Several items were damaged with nicks, scrapes, scratches and several pieces of furniture was not quilt-pad wrapped as promised. The mattress was so severely deformed that it was twisted and warped. Despite all of the damages incurred, we only filed a claim for the top three. Our solid wood coffee table with leather inlay on top had one entire corner is smashed and dented with a significant chunk of wood missing. It is damaged beyond repair.

Our reclining chair had the right back leg also very smashed up with a large chunk of the wood missing and our upholstered dining room captain's chair has fabric skirting on all sides of the chair. The front skirt was smashed resulting in the interior lining becoming deformed. The skirt no longer hangs properly. We filed a reasonable claim for damages of which All My Sons flatly denied. They took no responsibility for the damages and stated "that according to the inventory sheet these items were already damaged." Even though the All My Sons completed fraudulent inventory sheets, none of the items stated the kind of damage noted upon delivery. We have fortunately kept pictures of our furniture before the move and have several pictures of the damaged furniture as well as receipts of when the items were purchased and how much they cost. We informed All My Sons that most of our furniture was NEW and less than one year old. We are not done with All My Sons yet. We have not pursued this claim to the fullest extent of the law, but we intend to.
