I made the mistake of believing this offer of $5,000. credit for a one-time fee of $49.95, from one of the numerous internet offerings I receive on a regular basis. Since most other companies have fees up to $300.00 for a credit line of $250.-$500., the offer sounded great!
It wasn't until after I hit "submit" for my application that they identified themselves as a credit broker and not the actual issuer of the credit card.
Now I not only had the $49.95 taken directly out of my account, I'm receiving up to (75) e-mails a day for credit offers, debt reduction, free coupons and other gifts, etc.
The coup-de-marti-gras, I also received the Consumer First letter that you have on your "Rip-Off Report" on How to deal with phony credit card and other companies that fraudulently charge your bank account...." Thank goodness I didn't send for that card!
Thank you for all your reports. I'm now prepared to go to my bank and request my money back as well as reporting this company to the FCC.
