They charged us outrageous prices to "pack" our large furniture and told us that they couldn't move our furniture unless it was packed. Then they took the materials with them at the end of the day.

They did not subtract the time they spent eating lunch off of the move time and at several points they disappeared for a good amount of time while packing up the truck.

They advised us to cut our box spring in order to get it up the stairs. They assured us that it was no problem and there was no way to get it up the stairs otherwise. We trusted their expertise, and told them to go ahead with it as long as it would be a problem to put back together. They got it upstairs, and my husband picked up the supplies suggested to fix the box spring. Come to find out, it is a coil box spring, and there is no way to repair it. Now we have to go spend $600 to replace the box spring. We called the company to see about insurance or getting some sort of reimbursement towards the damage, and the owner of the company screamed at us saying we were rude and he has never heard of such a thing. He said that his men were not responsible for their own advice.

The company also seems shady, because they offered that if we paid cash, we wouldn't have to pay tax on our move. That does not seem legal.
