All Star Painting Abel Garcia Poor work, No show, No Call, Empty Promises, Theft, Lies Houston Texas

I called Abel Garcia to get a quote on some house work. We started by getting a quote on some painting. He asked if we would be painting the siding and I said we would be replacing the siding at a later time. He informed me that he had training with installing Hardie Products and knew how to install it correctly. After getting other quotes we decided to go with Abel. We entered a signed contract and I gave him a down payment for materials.

I pointed out some repairs that must be made when the siding was being done, bad wood. He said no problem that he would take care of it. The workers arrived and took the house apart, leaving a very large mess in the back yard, and piling the debris on top of objects that was in my back yard. One of which was a basketball goal that was knocked over and broken off the pole.

During the demolition of the work I asked for some additional work by having sheathing and Tyvek installed before the Hardie was installed. The work crew started the assemble process with the sheathing and Tyvek which I noticed was completely installed wrong which looked hap hazard. We noticed the wood, that was pointed out, was not replaced. I called Abel and he assured that it would be taken care of. A few days in and the crew did not show up anymore. I called Abel and he assured me that someone would be there the following Monday. No body showed up.

We had a Tropical storm that came through and I called Abel who said one of his people would come out and cover the bare wood and secure the debris in the yard. Yet again no one showed up. This went on for weeks. He would promise to show and would never show up. We had to pay for the trash removal and sweep the yard with magnets to pick up the horde of nails, saw blades, tools, and not to mention the beer cans and general trash left around the back yard.

After two months I called him to break the contract since he would not show up, constantly lie, and the work that was done was extremely poor. I had to call another contractor who was a certified Hardie specialist who showed me all the incorrect installation that would have failed and would have cost a lot of money to fix later on. Abel would quickly take my money but would not take responsibility for his work or lack thereof. Now I am out money and have a destroyed house.
