Back in November of 2007 my father and I purchased two brand new scooters form the above mentioned company. It is now Sept 08 and since then my father had his engine replaced after only 2000 miles, myself had mine replaced after 8000 miles along with 3 mufflers, the center kick stand fell off in the first couple of weeks (my fathers did too).
Now i have a cracked frame which supports the rear axle. I was upset needless to say and when showing my disatisfaction I was told that I should have properly maintained the bike and not just put gas in it and go?! What? How on earth am I to prevent these things from happening?
I check the oil all the time because I know that small engines have a bad habit of burning oil pretty quickly. But how am i to prevent parts from falling off the bike all the time? How am I to prevent the frame cracking, except by not riding it at all.
In all honesty the store has always made good on repairs and parts, but this should not be happening to something that is brand new. My advise is do not by Chinese scooters of any make. Heck, I was riding around with a cracked axle and I didnt even know it. Im actually lucky my muffler went AGAIN, or I might not be here now.
I also would like to add that I bought my wife a scooter as well, only because the store provides great customer service even though the owner does have an attitude problem. Her bike has about 1400 miles on it and already problems are starting to surface. the drive belt had already shredded and had to be replaced, now its starting to make some kind of funky noise that we have to get checked. Its all a mess!
DO NOT BUY A CHINESE SCOOTER! IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AND YOUR WALLET!!! Lets see if I get charged for the cracked frame... to be continued.

False report on chinese scooters

In regard to the Chinese scooters you speak so badly about, yes there are bad chinese scooters and bikes ot there and you have to be careful with where you get them, but I have a chinese electric scooter which I find to be trouble free and I've had it for 2 years. I much prefer the electric due to the maintenance factors against a gas moped or bike.
So my point is that it simply is not true that all chinese scooters are trouble.
Sorry to hear about your dealer not being careful about who he buys from, but some of these guys out there don't care about quality and will be interested in what it costs them without considering the customer.

poor basic care

what the customer does not mention is a) his father took the catalytic out of the exhaust, to try to make it faster;which in turn blew the engine; which in turn i replaced at no charge to customer. b)the customer whose muffler fell off(the son) neglected to tell you that he replaced a rear tire on the bike, and was done incorrectly, resulting in loss of exhaust and cracked rear support, this was after his warranty was voided, so he was charged for repair.the son did not follow proper maintenance program, and basically took poor care of the bike. his wife's bike had carburetion issues, which were covered under warranty.i have sold many of the bikes the gentleman and his father purchased, and all followed basic maintenance and repair, and there have been no problems with those bikes!!
