All Tune and Lube on Rochester Rd. in Troy is a scam. They installed breaks (pads and 2 discs) on my 2000 Nissan Maxima in August 2008. The pads squeaked the day I got them but Saied, I believe his name was, told me that was normal and I agreed, as i had squeaky breaks out of the showroom in my last vehicle.

After a year of intermittent squeaking I was forced to slam on the breaks on the freeway. Suddenly my car acted as if it had little to no breaks at all, causing me to swerve on to the shoulder and pull the emergency break. After the breaks would work but only if i pumped them.

I took the car back to All Tune and Lube in Troy to have my breaks under a "lifetime warranty" checked out by them, the original installers. They then proceeded to tell me that my master cylinder and front calipers were bad and needed immediate replacement because it was unsafe to drive. They also informed me that because other equipment than the pads had failed, they were going to see if my lifetime warranty on the pads was still available. The quote was $700+ for the repair.

I decided to get a second and then third opinion after  begging them to let my car go and promising to call them when I had time for the repair in my schedule. Both of the  professional opinions differed greatly from All Tunes and were exactly the same.

All Tune had installed the breaks wrong in the front of my car causing them to jam, so pumping my break released them. The caliper slides had increased pressure causing them to jam. The car only needed caliper slide lube and someone who knew how to install front disc breaks correctly. The repair actually cost $190 and it was because I opted for better pads from a different mechanic in the area.... Damian's.

Avoid this place, the transmission guys in the same building as All Tune are great from what I hear, but stay away from All Tune & Lube. I wont even go back if my pads are out of warranty, those clowns are never touching my vehicles again.

Learn to spell. It makes you look ignorant.
So, it took you whole year to figure out the BRAKES were installed wrong? Don't think so.
There's more to this than you're telling.
