This individual is using Trader Publishing's Equipment Trader magazine to "sell" a non-existent 1990 John Deere 310c Backhoe. The individual is claiming that he needs money/is leaving the country/etc and must sell his tractor. He has listed the tractor in several ads across the nation for $5,900.
The phone number in the ads is not working, and when you email him, he asks for your number. His number comes up restricted on Caller ID.
He says he can ship the tractor anywhere in the US for $500.
He points you toward a website, www.traderpublishing-co.com, and tells you that all transactions will go through the "Business Purchase Protection" program. When the transaction starts, an email is generated from the website that requests that you send two seprate Western Union money transfers to a third individual.
Trader Publishing says it's all a scam.
