The Rip-Off reports by the following people have a common theme which is very similar to our own experience. The Allegro Vacation Club Sales Rep. outright lies to you, and the Allegro Vacation Club then disowns the sales rep, and you are screwed out of a bunch of money.

Our story. The sales representative lied to us verbally and on the written notes he provided us with. We were told:

The Allegro Nuevo Vallarta resort was undergoing a mult-million dollar renovation. Nothing has been done in over two years and the resort General Manager says there are no plans in place.

We bought Platinum Plus which gives you First Club Membership. and we have a copy of the sales reps. notes. We were given Platinum Plus service including free transportation etc. A year later when we returned we discovered it was switched to a Platinum. Allegro responded, sorry the rep mislead you but the document says platinum. Allegro should make this right!!

We bought a two bedroom prime time one week vacation. We received a floor plan. When we booked our first vacation, we found out that the Nuevo Resort has only one two bedroom suite like the floor plan, and it is used as a show suite to fool other potential buyers. How can this not be misrepresentation?

We use the Vacation Club to bring our family together from different parts of North America. The sales rep told us Allegro has special air fares that the general public can't access that would be a major savings. He called their agency and calculated that they would have saved us at least 1/3 of our airfare. What we found was, that we can get lower fares on the net than Allegro can. To add insult to injury the Allegro policy of travel from Saturday to Saturday insures that you pay the highest air-fare possible. Allegro, how honorable is this?

Allegro response to date has been sorry we can not be responsible for the sales persons actions, only the documents. To date, Allegro has not made any of this right. Well there are too many reports on the internet of people being taken by this same scheme for it to be accidental. It feels like a well orchestrated scam. It is unfortunate because it not only reflects badly on Allegro Vacation clubs but on Mexico as a vacation spot. If we got what was promised it would have been a good club. We are now looking for other members who feel ripped off with the hopes of getting action by the attorney general, or possibly a class action suit by it's upset members. Wish we knew of your site before we got into this mess with Allegro.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ... I found these articles that speak precisely about this, you should read them, that might help you to resolve many doubts:
