I was contracted IndyModels LLC, doing business as 1stPlaceModels, as an independent contractor to work at an event September 10th-14th, 2009. I am owed over $700 along with interest.
Before taking a job with this company beware of your contract. In my contract, it states that the company offers no guarantee or timetable either expressed or implied, regarding how long it will take for the contractor to receive payment from company for work performed. It has been 124 days since the event and I have still not been paid. The contract goes on to say that interest will be added for every day after 70 days but what good does that do if I am never paid?
