They claim to be in buisness for 47 years when in fact their Billing and Coding program was approved only on 8/15/2008. They want to be asociated with the Allen School in New York but its totally 2 different programs. Allan school online is not approved by NY Department of Education as they claim on their website. Career advisors are so eager to sign you up with the program and don't mention that no one has ever graduated and program was recently approved. Want you to take out a loan and we all know what its all about.
One of the career canselors told me that they are part of the Phoenix University Online. I will not be writing all of the negative comments posted for Phoenix University you can search them here yourself.

The report that was filed is not correct. I have no intrest in this school. I do send prospective students through a website and when I saw the post about this school not being truthful I wanted to make sure I was not helping a school steal money. I did a search to see if Allen School was in fact accepted in NY.

Allen School is licensed by the New York State Education Department and the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education. In addition, the institution is nationally accredited by the Council on Occupational Education.
Any of those agencies can be contacted directly and will attest to the credentials that have been stated.
The school has in fact been licensed by the New York State Education
Department for 47 years and during that period of time, numerous programs have been approved throughout our history. The newest approval is the totally online offering of Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. The school is VERY selective about admissions. An essay, personal interview and demonstration of knowledge of computer use are required. We pride ourselves on job placement statistics and cannot accept individuals into the program who do not have the ability to benefit from the short programs that we offer. The author of this complaint may be one of the students who was rejected by the institution due to the inability to meet the entrance requirement. The author's spelling ability could have been an issue. We have no information about who the author is except for a first name. All applicants are fully apprised of the costs of any program offered by the institution and the various methods for payment. Grants and loans are, in fact, an option if the student qualifies. In order to pay back a loan, the graduate must be employable which is why the institution scrutinizes closely who is accepted. The institution is NOT affiliated with the University of Phoenix.
