I paid for and recieved 2 air purifiers and after several weeks of use was not satisfied with them.($1,100.00) I called and was told to return them for a refund no problem, other than a 25% return charge. They do not have a return policy anywhere nor was I told this when I bought thme other than they come with "complete satisfaction" to the customer. I then shipped back the two machines and AllerAir said make sure to insure them, so I did. When they recieved the machines they said 1 was damaged during shipping and they could not refund us on that one but would refund on the other. Well it took 2 1/2 weeks of repeated calls and threats to get the refund, and now they will not give UPS a damage cost or return the calls to UPS.
The local UPS office said they called AllerAir 7 times, and no one calls them back. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I even spoke to the owner to no avail as of yet. It is now 4 weeks that they have my machine that is paid for and I have nothing.

Hi Steve,
I wanted to respond to you as the employee who, years ago, in my first weeks on the job actually printed the owner the first review and gave it to him personally. To be fair, unless you specifically go looking for comments like these, they rarely come across the desks of upper management unless an employee like me raises the issue. I wish I had seen your post. I only found it because I was conducting research on online reviews for one of my clients.
As for your partial refund, although I don't know the specifics of the case all those years ago, I'm guessing a fee was withheld for the filters. HEPA or carbon filters can't be resold even if the unit has been in someone's home for only minutes. The company considers it a health hazard. Also, these are big ticket items (for me anyway) and most people have done their research and are very satisfied with their purchase. The return rate is very low - so maybe the return process needs some attention.
Also, if a shipping problem was involved, I know from personally having to deal with this, that it can take time. The shipping companies don't move particularly fast on damage claims.
I'm really sorry you had such a bad customer-service experience. I really believe in AllerAir's air purifiers and personally still own two units (which, by the way have been on 24/7 for over 4 years --there's a photo of one attached). The air purifiers really work. They've been bought by the U.S military and huge companies dealing with serious indoor air problems as well as thousands of home-owners. Your review bothered me so much that I had to respond. I wish I had had a chance to fix the problem.

I see that "Sam" the owner of AllerAir responded on this site to a bad report. However he only responded in my opinion because as he states "his file show no such person as placing an order"
I am on file as placing an order and it took 12 phone calls and months to get only a partial refund, and he was never available.
The worst experience ever.........................
(notice how he did not respond to mine or the other persons complaint on this site.)
