Hired Alliance to perform Commercial Mortgage Modification. They never did any work after receiving payment. Never contacted mortgage company.

Alliance was retained by our firm to assist in a commercial property loan modification. They were paid $12,500 for this service. After receiving payment they never contacted the lender and refused to give us a reason why they couldn't help us. When finally pressed they stated that the reason they could not help us was due to the fact that the property appraisal (done by the lender)came back above the loan value. We later found out that this was false information as the appraisal came back well under the loan value. I asked repeatedly for justification of their fees. They could give none!. I then asked for a refund and they refused. They did no work on this contract and again never even contacted the lender or special servicer to find out if a loan modification can be done.  

Finally the excuse I was told was that they could not help with the refinance since the appraisal came in higher than the loan amount.  At that time, I thought that was a litamate excuse.  I even sent them an email thanking them for their help.Later I found out that they lied to me and the appraisal came in much lower than the loan amount.

They took advantage of us in a desperate situation.  They are many complaints about this company with ripoff report, the better business bureau and the department of consumer affairs.
