Alliance Group Services/Network Service Billing, Slamming by company to change long distance provider - get your money back Las Vegas& Westport, Nevada & Conneticut - Nationwide Service

I noticed a strange company billing for long distance (USBI) on my phone bill even though I had Verizon's Freedom Business Package which offers long distance and toll calling all in one package.

After a bit of research I come to find that a call that came in by a Sales Rep that stated they were representing Verizon.

Long story short - this was a scam or what they call Slamming - ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/products/pro18.shtm
whereas a company calls representing a reputable company. They gather data - as much as possible - and then make the switch without the customer actually knowing they are being switched.

As saavy as we all are - they take the information they CAN get from you and then bait and switch your service.

While I do not fully know the company that the service was switched to I will say that I will give the benefit of the doubt that they do not understand the Sales Reps who are doing this unethical sales practice.

Best practice to anyone receiving any calls about service - HANG UP - and call your provider directly.

In the end - I have requested a credit from Network Billing Service, Inc. and a phone/data recording of my authorization for reference (pending) - but let the companies know that this is not ethical.
