as a student i have to tell the truth about this company my personal oppion is the i have learned alot about truck driving here the teachers are great people but the truth is that the recruters are the lowest sapsucking forms of life there is they will paint the perfect picture tell you anything even act as if they care all while they look you in the eye dont be sucked in cause of the pay they say you will make or they financial help they offer and dont count on them doing anything be prepard to find lodging, food ,and pay cdl fees plus the 5095.00 after you hand over the 250.00 for the test and books that are older than dirt info that dont mean anything also there is plenty of room in class so dont buy the reserve your seat now sale.
in simple terms if you have the money you want a little better career and you dont mind otr for a years time with pay in the 30's to 40,000 range then go for it just dont have all the mickey mouse dreams they put in your head

Straight out of school, high 30s to low 40s is a realistic income. Truck driving pay is going to be based on experience. If you are a rookie, it will take time for you to make more money. It is possible to make $75K/year. I know a driver that makes that kind of money with hazmat and tanker endorsements. He pulls tankers and does very well. Driving a dry van is entry level work. If you want to make more, you have to do some specialization.
You also do not have to drive OTR. Alliance places students in OTR and regional jobs. There are companies they place students with that will have you home on the weekends. The companies they place students with also offer tuition reimbursement along with insurance and 401K plans.
Do your research and ask questions. Why would you expect them to pay your food and lodging? What school does that? Even taxpayer funded public schools make students pay for their lunches. It sounds like you expected a free ride with little effort on your part.
