Allianz Global Assistance Like many others on this website, Allianz has refused a legitimate claim for trip cancellation. I checked with The Attorney General's office and filed a complaint with the Virginia Bureau of Insurance. If more people will make their complaints known to th Refused my claim for trip cancellation due to a medical condition Richmond Virginia

I HAD TO CANCEL A CRUISE DUE TO A MEDICAL PROBLEM. ALLIANZ REQUIRED AN UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF DOCUMENTATION TO SUPPORT THE CLAIM. AFTER NEARLY A MONTH, I CONTACTED THEM AND LEARNED BY VOICE MAIL THAT MY CLAIM HAD BEEN DENIED. THIS IS A SHAM AND AN UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE. THEY SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO CONDUCT BUSINESS. ACCORDING TO THEIR DEFINAITION OF PREEXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION, I DOUBT IF THEY EVER PAY FOR TRIP CANCELLATION.

I WENT ONLINE TO THE VIRGINIA ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. FROM THERE I WENT ONLINE TO THE VIRGINIA BUREAU OF INSURANCE AND FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST ALLIANZ. IF MORE PEOPLE WOULD REPORT THIS TO THE BUREAU OF INSURANCE WE MAY GET THEM TO DO AN INVESTIGATION OD ALLIANZ RELATED TO CLAIMS PAYMENTS.

I am sorry to hear the travel insurance you purchased didn't provide the coverage you needed. We don't mean for the claims process to be onerous, but we do need documenation to properly review a case.
